Therefore go and make DISCIPLES of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

At Calvary Chapel Abbotsford, we are committed to the Great Commission.  This means serving in missions throughout Canada and in other countries around the world.  We have modelled this ministry on the Apostle Paul's heart for missions, which focussed on: 

1) evangelism

2) discipleship

3) church planting

4) leadership training.  

As a result, the missions program in our church is called The Paul Initiative.  We appreciate and are grateful for the churches that partner and support us in this effort. 

The Paul Initiative is an international ministry started by Pastor Ed Hickey to train pastors who do not have access to formal training.  By going to many countries around the world and offering a free Discipleship Training Seminar (DTS), the leaders receive training to better equip them in disciple making. The DTS often opens the door for long term investment and encouragement for these fellow workers.

Pastor Ed also takes the DTS to local churches in Canada and the USA.
