Pastor Ed and Cheryl Hickey
Ed Hickey became a committed follower of Christ at the age of 16. Sensing a call to the ministry, he went to Western Bible College (now Summit Pacific) in Abbotsford to pursue his Bachelor degree and then to Regent College in Vancouver, BC for his graduate degree (M.C.S.)
After serving in two different Greater Vancouver Area churches, he stepped out to plant Calvary Chapel Sunshine Coast in 1999. During his 15 years there, the church saw healthy growth, a building purchase and encouraged other church plants.
During the summer of 2014, Ed and his family moved to London, Ontario with the desire to plant a new work. After 8 years, this thriving and growing work was turned over to Justin Hickey to be lead pastor.
In November of 2022, they stepped into a new "Venture in Faith", to plant Calvary Chapel Abbotsford.
Ed and Cheryl have been married for 34 years! Cheryl has a heart and passion for women's and children's ministries.
Ed and Cheryl also serve in two mission organizations. The Paul Initiative and Mercy and Caring Children's Homes.
They have three children: Justin, Brendan, and Brianna. Justin is married to his wife Madison and they have three children.
Youth Pastor
Pastor BRENDAN Hickey
Brendan committed his life to the Lord at a young age. Sensing a desire to know God deeper he attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in California after high school. He graduated with an Associate of Theology degree in 2015. He enjoys encouraging youth through discipleship and outreach activities. Brendan ran the youth group at the Calvary Chapel in London, Ontario before moving to BC in 2023.
Brendan has a Bachelor's degree in business (Management and Organizational Studies) from the University of Western Ontario. He works as a financial advisor for a local bank. Hiking and travelling are Brendan's favourite hobbies.
